About me

Hi! I'm Rosalì Parisi, and I'd love to introduce you to my hometown: Sciacca, Sicily.

This is the town where I grew up, the place I once left behind because I thought it was too small for my dreams. Yet, over the years, I felt an irresistible pull to come back.

“Un paese ci vuole, non fosse che per il gusto di andarsene via. Un paese vuol dire non essere soli, sapere che nella gente, nelle piante, nella terra c’è qualcosa di tuo, che anche quando non ci sei resta ad aspettarti”  C. Pavese, La luna e i falò.

I studied Advertising, Publishing, and Corporate Communication in Emilia-Romagna, where I lived for several years. It was a life-changing experience that helped me grow, discover new perspectives, and understand what truly makes me happy.

Returning to Sicily felt like rediscovering my roots—finding the places that have always been part of me and seeing them through fresh eyes, almost like a traveler falling in love with them for the first time.

They say we always return to the places where we were happiest. For me, that couldn't be more true. Coming back to Sciacca brought back the memories of my childhood, but with a new awareness and a deeper appreciation for everything this beautiful seaside town has to offer.

Combining photography and words has always been my greatest passion. I've always believed that when the right image meets the right words, something magical happens.

GirandoSciacca GirandoSciacca is more than just a travel guide to Sciacca, Sicily. It's my personal perspective on this extraordinary town—a collection of places, local stories, authentic experiences, and emotions that I hope will inspire you to discover Sciacca through the eyes of someone who truly calls it home.
